4th Grade Mackinac Island Field Trip
Marshall and Mar Lee fourth grade students, along with their teachers, participate in an overnight field trip to Mackinac Island as a culminating activity for their study of Michigan history. These school systems strongly believe that by participating in this activity, their students will gain a much better understanding of what life was like in the early days of Michigan’s history. Their goal is to make sure that the trip will be available to all students, regardless of their financial ability to attend.
6th Grade Camp
Marshall and Mar Lee send 6th graders to camp where they can “live” at camp for five days enjoying outdoor educational experience and interacting with teachers and students in an informal setting. Their goal is to ensure 6th Grade Camp is an experience all students can participate in, regardless for their financial ability to attend.

Mobile Meals, Inc. of Marshall

Elderly and handicapped Marshall residents receive home delivered meals, prepared by Oaklawn Hospital Dietary Department. Volunteers deliver these meals and residents pay if able. However, currently only one-third of those receiving meals are able to pay.
